It would be great to be able to change the height of tracks individually to minimize their visual space in the edit window. Example -- a track of raw tape back up -- just to have a linear reference -- but I 99% of the time I don't need to see it expanded.3 votes
The menu item View > Markers does not show Cue Points which is a pity. I propose inserting a new menu item View > Cue Points which shows a list of all cue points.9 votes
This is a rather simple but helpful one:
Aso of now (build 2182), we can achieve left/right stereo panning by using a simple slider. That's great.
But to do this precisely or symmetrically, one has to count pixels on that slider.
I'd like to see some sort of simple tooltip to help us with that. Something like:
100% Left ... 1% Left ... Center (or 0%) ... 1% Right ... 100% Right
That's all.5 votes
I noticed that Journalist does not include support for the MBP Touch Bar. It might be useful to have some of the basic editing commands, record button, channel muting, or other options available using the interface.
I realize this is only available to a small subset of overall users, so I understand it's not a priority.7 votes

There is other services than Souncloud. Add Spreaker to publish will be great ;-)5 votes
Hindenburg save the project's files in wave, when you use several years you have plenty of GBs used in the HDD.
An option to compress file projects in mp3 or AAC would be fine.1 vote
Let me cast another vote for a Linux version. Many are casting off the bloated traditional OS's in favor of stability, privacy and thrift.
A Linux version please!15 votes
I get that you have to make money and one way to get people using the product is to offer an inexpensive version (Journalist) and hope they'll upgrade ... but it seems to me that you don't include the Noise Reduction tool in Journalist. The free program Audacity has it. So I find myself removing noise in Audacity then loading Hindenburg. To me, when it can be done for free, it doesn't make sense to not include it in Journalist. Noise Reduction would seem to be a fairly standard requirement.6 votes
Fuction that displays total time of a group's clips. Could be displayed to the right of the group title.3 votes
Imagine your audio quotes being transcribed into text automatically. I was impressed to see how the start up Detour does that
This would be great for Hindenburg.4 votes
I would love both the ability to quickly minimize or expand a particular clipboard group and the ability to have folders within groups that can also be quickly minimized or expanded.
Having to manually expand each group can be quite clunky when there are several groups in the clipboard, especially on a smaller screen.
Hi there. I really enjoy working with Hindenburg. One feature I would love to see is stem export. I do all my edits, tweak eq, compression and all that, but would like to export the stems of the project for archiving, as I delete my RAW files once a project is done.
As of now, Hindenburg Journalist (Pro) is one of those rare DAWs that can only apply effects during playback.
But: For some (live) applications we need to apply effects in real-time.
I'm specifically talking about the new Skype-Killer called "Studio Link" (basically Skype with way better quality, no account, no delay, direct recording in your DAW and only browser-based for your guests in the near future). This plugin demands processing in real-time in order to work.45 votes
When opening Hindy, have the option to make it automatically open the last project you were working on.2 votes
When working with separate tracks of several remote guests on a podcast or talk show it is essential to delete "silent" parts of the track when someone isn't talking. Sometimes these parts are not silent at all (because of a lot of background noise or leaking audio from headphones), but that makes it even more important to have them removed.
I would like Hindi to be able to identify and insert breakpoints around these sections automatically and remove them upon request. That would make my life soooo much easier.100 votes
It would be nice to be able to Publish to MixCloud, which is in my opinion a better podcast platform than SoundCloud...
So it looks like I'm the only one with this problem:
I would like to use more than 4 effects / VST plug ins:
Noise Reduction (Reaper ReaFir)
EQ / Voice Profiler

Add a menu button to show full project in the timeline. Beats having to repeatedly click the 'Out -' button.4 votes
