Detect and delete silence
When working with separate tracks of several remote guests on a podcast or talk show it is essential to delete "silent" parts of the track when someone isn't talking. Sometimes these parts are not silent at all (because of a lot of background noise or leaking audio from headphones), but that makes it even more important to have them removed.
I would like Hindi to be able to identify and insert breakpoints around these sections automatically and remove them upon request. That would make my life soooo much easier.

Affiliate Program
Podcasters are in love with affiliate programs to monetize their stuff... Every podcaster should be using your software to edit... it is awesome.
This is a cool service I recommend - several companies I like use it: https://www.refersion.com?rfsn=280857.7b3ac (yes it is an affiliate link)
Hope to see you set one up... so when I create the ultimate podcast course I can monetize it ;-)

Unfortunately we still don’t have the resources to get an affiliate program in place. However, we will be moving to a new payment solution in the next months that will have an affiliate option built in, so once we have that daunting project in place, we will look into the implementation of the affiliate program option.
Thanks for your continued support everyone.

Template projects
It would be great to be able to choose from a series of templates when starting a new project. Ideally I'd like to designate an existing project as a template. Hindenburg would then remove all audio that is not currently used in the editor or clipboard to minimize the size of that project. That would greatly improve my workflow.

Increase the number of effects
So it looks like I'm the only one with this problem:
I would like to use more than 4 effects / VST plug ins:
Noise Reduction (Reaper ReaFir)
Noise Gate
EQ / Voice Profiler
Compressor

Join clips
Joining two clips on the same track, say by clicking the line between them, could really help to keep the tracks "clean" and simple.
When you have to move a section it would make it easier when you only have to move one large bit in stead of 5 smaller.
Think of it as a permanent Group.

'Sticky' markers
Just a quick note. In early edits of an interview I always plant markers for different segments of the interview.
But in the second sweep of edits I will often rearrange the interview entirely- or open gaps up to slot other speakers into the sames section.
It's very easy to move big chunks of audio clips with the 'Select to End' shortcut. But the markers remain behind- and I have to try and recognise by eye where to replant them.
Could there be some way to make the markers 'sticky' so that they attach to a particular clip or group…

Improve Metadata/Properties for DAISY 2.02 output
We've recently begun testing HABC as a replacement for our current DAISY 2.02 production suite and workflow. During our testing we've noticed that the resulting output does not initially pass DAISY 2.02 validation using the industry standard tool (https://code.google.com/archive/p/daisytools/). Two small additions/modifications to the metadata creation seem to be necessary.
ncc:multimediaType needs the content value of "audioNCC" in addition to the other content values.
ncc:sourceEdition is only a recommended field per the specification, but it seems to throw a warning in the validation tool when it is not included.
By modifying the ncc.html output from HABC to include…
1 voteif you set “Multimedia Type” in “Properties” to “Audio, TOC” the output will set “ncc:multimediaType” to “audioNCC”.
Support for ncc:sourceEdition will be added in the next update (Probably build 2236).

Add the option to publish to Spreaker.com
Spreaker is a great platform for on demand recordings and live shows, it would be great to be able to publish directly

Audio Transcription
It would be so awesome if Hindenburg provided an audio transcription feature to print out recorded audio as a MS Word document. When editing, (especially interviews) this would certainly speed up the podcast post-production process:).

Support for NPI?
Is NPI support on the HPJ roadmap?
Thanks much!

Feature that make it possible to add description in text to a clip in clipboard
Working with multiple clips it can be hard to remember the exact content of the clip even with a new name. I would suggest a feature that make it possible to add a description in text to a clip in the clipboard. The text will show when you highlight a clip.

Two track version of Field Recorder, with support for dual mics
It would be wonderful to be able to record host-guest interview tracks in FR using two mics. Is there a way for the app to be able to sync with two outboard Bluetooth mics?
A dream use case is being able to do walk and talk interviews (say, in a museum or historic city center) using high quality, noise isolating Bluetooth headsets. Even for normal field interviews, it would be great to be able to use independent handheld cardioid mics.
Any chance this may fit within your product plans? Thank you!

Make Hindenberg behave more like an NLE
Hi there, I'm a former video producer. I've been using DAWs like Hindeberg, ProTools, and Audition for a while now. Given that DAWS are almost always designed for something other than podcast/radio/narrative workflow, I think Hindenberg should consider adopting some of the workflow features of NLEs like Avid or Premiere. Specifically, I am talking about having a separate window for your source material, where you can type in a timecode, or make a selection, and then insert it into wherever your cursor is on the project timeline. This would be a far superior way to work than making a ton…

Normal Zoom with Apple Trackpad
On a Mac, it's common to zoom to. like on an iPhone when using the Magic Trackpad. It is a big change to zoom with the scroll movement. Maybe you could provide an optional function in the settings.

Kind of Ducking
To duck a soundbed of music or ambience you have to select many regions and reduce the levels by draging with the mouse and watching the target levels in the little window above the region.
If these target levels are the same over a wide range of the session, a big improvement could be this workflow:
You type the target level into an additional window of the session properties (or somewhere else).
Then select the ducking region as usual and press a shortcut - and the level will be reduced automatically to the predefined number.
What a time saving feature!

Soundboard
In Ultraschall.FM (a Podcasting Template for Reaper) you can implement a soundboard as VST-Plugin and a ducking automation as VST either. For producing a live-podcast in Hindy this would be nice to heave.

Lock positions of grouped regions to each other
As of now, we have the ability to lock regions into groups, even over different tracks. That's nice. But:
I have grouped regions on two tracks. If I make a cut on track 1, the position of my grouped regions to eachother will be changed. This defies the purpose of grouped regions.
Please lock the positions of grouped regions to each other.0 votes
